Large Warehouse Inventory Tracking Questionnaire

I want to track the inventory my business buys and sells in one or more warehouses that, in total, employ five or more materials handlers.

The only field in this form that's required is your e-mail address — so answering any or all of the rest are optional. We won't necessarily get all uppity if you don't answer each and every one! However, the more we know about you and what you want to accomplish, the more we can help get this relationship off to a running start. So please indulge us with answering as many of following questions as you can muster.

The types of items I'm going to be tracking in this system are:

All of my items are located basically in one place (e.g. a single stockroom or small warehouse),

My items are geographically situated in many places.

If each unique type of item I was tracking was given a part number, I figure I'd have about of them in my operation.

By my quick figuring, about percent of my items already have a manufacturer's bar code on them already.

I figure I'm going to need a bar code label printer, to print labels to identify products and/or shelves and bins.

I'll require at least (number) mobile wireless scanning terminals, used by my warehouse workers, to record product receipts, counts, picks, and shipments.

I don't already have a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network - "Wi-Fi") infrastructure in my warehouse(s).

I need to keep track of the lot numbers or serial numbers of all or some of the things I'm tracking.
